Newell House Museum Presents
An Old Fashioned Patriotic 4th of July
Celebration
July 4, 2009 -
4 pm to 6 pm
Enjoy the 4th
of July as it was celebrated in Oregon in 1859
with an elocution contest, a
history bee and reading of the
Declaration of Independence for children of
all ages. There will be music, singing, picnic,
a pie judging contest and more. Bring your
picnic supper, blanket, pie for judging
and enjoy the music of "Heartstrings" while
wearing your patriotism on your sleeve from 4 to
6 pm on July 4th, 2009. This is a
participatory event! Come and enjoy your
nation’s heritage!
Entrance to the Old Fashioned 4th
of July event on the west lawn of the
Historic Newell House Museum and parking are
free, with donations appreciated.
Entrance into the museum for tours is $4.00 per
adult, $3.00 per senior, AAA member or DAR
member and $2.00 for children.
